Questions About Our Thermal Spa?
Everything you need to know about booking private soaking rooms, our mineral spring water, and woodland experiences
Our spring water comes from a natural thermal source that's been flowing beneath this property for over a century—it's naturally heated and rich in minerals like magnesium, calcium, and silica. Unlike treated hot tubs, there's no chlorine; we maintain the water using gentle mineral filtration that preserves what makes thermal bathing special.
Yes—each private room has individual temperature control between 98°F and 105°F. We recommend starting at 100°F if you're new to thermal bathing, then adjusting based on your comfort. Most guests stay for 20-45 minutes, and the heat is gentler on your body than it might feel at first.
Our practitioners blend essential oils tailored to your needs—whether that's stress relief, seasonal wellness support, or simply enhancing relaxation. The oils are dispersed into the room's air and mist, so you're breathing in the botanicals while soaking. It's about engaging all your senses, not just adding oils to the water itself.
We have three maintained trails ranging from 0.5 miles to 2 miles, with the main loop accessible year-round. Spring through fall is peak season for wildflowers and wildlife, but winter walks through the snow-covered forest are equally peaceful. All paths start within a few minutes of the lodge.
We recommend booking at least a week ahead, especially on weekends. During peak seasons (summer and fall foliage), 2-3 weeks is better. That said, we do keep some same-day slots open—just call us or check availability on our booking page. Private rooms are 60 or 90 minutes depending on what you choose.
We love couples—in fact, many of our private rooms can accommodate two people comfortably, and couples often book aromatherapy sessions together. It's an intimate way to unwind without the feel of a crowded spa. Singles absolutely come too; the privacy and woodland setting appeal to anyone looking to step away from daily noise.
